Grab your hats, ready your bets -- we're off to the races!  The PTO is hoping you'll join us at the 19th Annual Douglas Social and Auction!  We’ll have an evening full of music, mint juleps, passed hors d'euvres, as we raise some ponies for our school. It's a safe bet to say you won't want to miss our party at the Butternut Farm Golf Club on Saturday, March 24.

Please join us! Tickets will go on sale on January 31, 2018.  Confidential financial assistance for event tickets is available by contacting Dr. Whitbeck at cwhitbeck@abschools.org.

HOW TO HELP

There are several ways to get involved and make the Douglas Social and Auction a success for the Douglas community.

Donate a Creative Item for the Auction

  • Donate a bottle of wine to our Wine Grab
  • Donate an unused gift card to our Gift Card Station
  • Collaborate with friends to host a fabulous party

But there’s no need to stop there! And remember—you can also team up with friends or other families to offer something creative and exciting. For example:

  • Vacation Getaway – a weekend stay at a beach, mountain, or city condo/home
  • Tickets to a Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, or Celtics Game or a Broadway Show
  • Handmade Item – knitted accessories, jewelry, furniture
  • Business Expertise – photographer, lawyer, accountant, computer specialist, language specialist

Large or small, every donation helps and makes for a more diverse and exciting event. Once you’ve decided what to donate, fill out a donation form online and return them in your child’s backpack. Contact auction@douglasschoolpto.org with any questions.

Encourage Your Fifth or Sixth Grader to Donate

Fifth and sixth grade Douglas students are encouraged to contribute auction items, as well. For example, their contributions might include:

  • Babysitting or mother’s helper services
  • Helping to run a child’s birthday party
  • Outdoor labor such as weeding, raking, mowing, or snow shoveling
  • Organizing and running a sports clinic for younger children
  • Artistic items such as jewelry, sewing, or pottery
  • Preparing and delivering food, such as a meal or baked goods

Become a Sponsor

Are you unable to make the event but still want to contribute? Become a Douglas Family Sponsor! Contact auction@douglasschoolpto.org for information.
